1904 May 28 Holbrook Argus

The once famous Harqua Hala (or Bonanza) mine was sold a few days ago by A. G. Hubbard of Redland for $40,000. Hubbard & Bowers once sold this mine to an English syndicate for $1,200,000 and at that time it was understood to be a great producer - one of the greatest mines of the southwest. For some reason the mine did not prove profitable to the English company, and Hubbard afterward repurchased the property for $7,000 at sheriff's sale. The mine is located in the Harqua Hala district, Yuma county, and about 150 miels northeast of this city. There is said to be renewed activity in that section of late and important discoveries made. - Yuma Sentinel.

1909 Mar 11 Bisbee Daily Review

Several days ago S. B. Sealy, while on his way from Kofa to Cibola came upon his two sons and a boy named Gonzales in the act of dressing a steer which they had killed, and which was on of a bunch of cattle over which there is a lawsuit between Mr. Sealy and his wife. Sealy returned to Kofa and there made complaint to Justice Weinshank issued a warrant for their arrest, sending it to Constable George Frankenberg of Cibola for service. Constable Frankenberg thought it improper for him to serve a warrant issued in another precinct and declined to do it. ...
