Angeliki Xanthopoulos, 89, of Scottsdale, Arizona,
passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006. Angeliki was born in Smyrna, Minor Asia
and immigrated to Greece in 1922. In 1930 Angeliki married Konstantine
Xanthopoulos in Piraeus. In 1972 Angeliki and her husband moved to California to
join their children, who had moved to the United States earlier. She is survived
by her daughter Nora Brown (Lloyd) of Jacksonville, Florida; sons George and
Paul (Rosemary) of Scottsdale; four grandchildren, Dean Brown of Jacksonville,
Florida, Vana Overeem of Washington, Pennsylvania, and Fiona and Rosie
Xanthopoulos of Scottsdale. Her husband Konstantine died in 2003. Services were

Coy Yancey was born Jan.
4, 1925 in a railroad boxcar near Bear Creek, Alabama to George Thomas Yancey
and Josie Pauline Birdyshaw Yancey. He was their 3rd son. At age 18 he married
Lillian Marie Hudson (age 15). They were married for over 50 years. Lillian died
in 1993. Coy is also preceded in death by his parents (Tommy and Pauline),

Thomas Lee Yaple, 84, of Sedalia Missouri passed away on December 8,
2006. Thomas Lee Yaple was born 2 February 1922 in Burlington Junction,
Missouri. He was the son of Lee Gerald and Kathryn (Miller) Yaple. Thomas spent
most of his childhood in Missouri and Oklahoma including Oklahoma City. On March
7, 1942, he married Margaret Helen Hinkle. She passed away in 1988. Thomas
attended both the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma where he
graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Physics. He was a pilot in the Army Air
Corps in World War II. In 1963, he moved to Phoenix Arizona for a job with
Sperry Flight Systems. He retired from Sperry in 1986. He had been a resident of
Sedalia Missouri since September 2005. Thomas is survived by his four children,
Roy, Robin, James, and Louis, and his sister Mary. He is also survived by
several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren. Graveside services were at
Ohio Cemetary in Burlington Junction, Missouri on December 12, 2006.

Frank Ybanez, 65, a Buckeye sheep company foreman, died
Fri., May 12, 1967, in a Glendale hospital. He had planned to retire later this
month to return to his native France. He came to Arizona in 1920 and was
identified with the sheep industry in the state for more than 40 years.
Surviving are a sister and two brothers in France and another brother in
California. Mass of Requiem was offered at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N.

Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in Kingman. He was born in Winslow, on July 21, 1926.
Mr. Ybarra served in the U.S. Army stationed in the Philippines during World War
II. Ybarra worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 10 years and was a carpenter for
30 years. Mr. Ybarra is survived by his stepfather, Dennis B. Hernandez; wife of
56 years, Ruth Candelaria; daughters, Terry (Del) Davison of San Antonio, Texas,
Dennise (Tom) Smith of Chickasha, Okla., Annette Stecker of Live Oak, Fla.; son,

Winslow; half-sister Leanor Gamboa; and half-brothers, Cache and Rudy Ybarra of
San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rafaela Hernandez;

died August 1994 of congestive heart failure. A visionary pioneer in the
treatment of spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Hie life-long achievement as a
healer of man's body and spirit has been honored from sacred Hopi medicine kiva
to the floor of the U. S. Congress. Young's work was first recognized in 1964 by
President Lyndon B. Johnson when he was named Physician of the Year. To date,
his work has directly influenced everyone who's lives have been touched by a
spinal cord injury and all those who work in the field of spinal cord injury
rehabilitation. . . . Prior to his career in medicine, Young served with
distinction during WWII in the 94th Infantry Division where he achieved the rank
of Major and received the silver star. Born the son of a veterinarian in
Syracuse, Nebraska, Young will remain to anyone who ever knew him, a man not to
be forgotten and always to be loved. . . . He is survived by his beloved wife,
Marjorie, whose career in opera inspired and nourished him and whose love
sustained him throughout the course of their 53-year marriage. He is also
survived by his four children; Merry Lynn Robertson, Julie Ann Schnieders, Robin
Young Halpin and Gordon James Young, M.D., as well as four grandchildren and one
great-grandchild, all of whom treasure his memory. Memorial services were held

Sun City, AZ for the past 37 years. He was pre-deceased by his first wife,
Thalia Keiry, and also by his second wife, Charlotte Nelson Whitney. He also was
pre-deceased by his son Wesley of Little Compton, Rhode Island, his sister Marie
of Red Oak, Iowa, his brothers Newton, of Santa Clara, California. and Marion,
of Sun City, Arizona, and his granddaughter Susan Plummer Muldoon of La Habra,
California. He is survived by daughters Beth Itnyre (Terry), of La Mirada,
California, Shirlee Plummer, of Whittier, California, and daughter-in-law Nina
Peckhami Young of Little Compton, Rhode Island, plus nine grandchildren and 18
great grandchildren. He also is survived by nephews Darrell Lee Young of
Prescott, Arizona, The Rev. David C. Keiry of Monte Vista, Colorado, and Bill
Nelson of Clear Lake, Iowa, and niece Edith Keiry Stone of Boulder, Colorado,

for the Rev. Willie E. Youngblood, 85, who had been pastor of Arizona churches
since 1923, were in the First Institutional Baptist Church, 1141 E. Jefferson.
Mr. Youngblood, 3160 E. Chipman, died in a Phoenix hospital May 1, 1967. He came
to Prescott in 1923 and was pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church there 20 years.
He moved to Phoenix in 1958 and was assistant pastor of the First Institutional
Baptist Church until three years ago. His career also included that of state
missionary for the Paradise Valley Baptist State State Convention. He was born
in Spearsville, Louisiana. Survivors include a son, Willie, Jr., of Los Angeles;
a brother, Mack, of Phoenix; and a sister. The AZ Republic Thursday, May 4,

Elizabeth Faye "Betty" Younger passed away on
September 30, 2006, at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born Dec. 19, 1921
in Denver, CO. to Dora and James Craig Berryhill. She often reminisced about her
years growing up with her seven beloved brothers and sisters ('Brother,' 'Sis,'
'Billie,' 'Dood,' Bruce, 'Marj,' and 'Neetsie'), and the childhood friends with
whom she stayed in contact throughout her life. She was graduated from West High
School in Denver, and attended Colorado State College of Education (now
University of Northern Colorado) in Greeley, CO. She worked throughout her
college years to supplement the scholarship assistance she received. She was a
member of the Pi Kappa Sigma sorority. Upon graduation she took a teaching job
at Marin Junior College in Kentfield, CA. She met Bud Younger while she was
teaching at Marin Junion College in Kentfield, CA, and they were married on Dec.
14, 1946, in Mill Valley, CA. Betty is survived by her husband of 59 years,
James P. 'Bud' Younger; her children Vickie (Gary) Venturo; James P. Jr. 'Rook'
(Debbie) Younger; her sister, Geraldine 'Billie Sue' Mosier; and her cherished
grandchildren Tori (Brent) Havins, Paul Venturo, Marcus Venturo, and Kelyn
Elizabeth Younger. Services were held at Creighton United Methodist Church, 4900

Florence Yuschik, 82, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on August 30,
2006. Visitation was at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd. A funeral
mass was held on Tuesday, September 5th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001
N. 40th St. 9/3/2006.
