SCHEPEMAKER, Lynette D.
Lynette Donn Schepemaker, age 24, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2004. She was born on October 22, 1979 in Aurora, Colorado to Don and Carol Schepemaker. She moved with her family to Arizona in 1984 where she graduated from Moon Valley High School in 1998. "Nettie" was always fun-loving, exuberant, up-beat, loyal and a good listener. She loved to talk, cuddle, play cards, listen to music, sing, watch movies, attend plays and read books. The love of her life is Jonathan Trujillo. Jonathan proposed to Lynette five minutes before her surgery which brought her tears of joy - her last words to Jonathan were "I'll be right out". The last four years of her life with Jonathan were her best years. Lynette and Jonathan were already married in their hearts. Lynette's brother and sister-in-law, Hank and Rachael, and her sister Kendrie say thanks for teaching us how to laugh, love and care for others. Her grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends will always cherish her joy and love. Lynette loved Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and attended Calvary Community Church where she had many friends that have poured out encouragement, love and compassion to her family in this time of loss. Her co-workers at USAA enjoyed working with her and will miss her greatly. Extreme thanks go to the medical team at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley hospital, including the ER and ICU nursing staff and the physicians that cared for Lynette. Lynette experienced "aortic dissection" - emergency surgery took place where she suffered a cardiac arrest which resulted in neurological damage. She fought a good fight for three days. There was a time in Lynette's life when she left home with a rebellious attitude and moved to Washington state. Her parents remember the day that she called home and said "Daddy, I want to come home". Her earthly father said "I'll come and get you". This past Monday night she cried "Abba Father, I want to come home" and this time her Heavenly Father came and took her home. We will be celebrating Lynette's life on Friday, September 24th at 10:30 am at Calvary Community Church, 12612 North Black Canyon Hwy, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account in the name of Lynette Schepemaker at Deer Valley Credit Union. Published in The Arizona Republic on 9/23/2004.

Following marriage to Dorothy Miller of Denver, Schweikher became employed as a draftsman, subsequently working for the celebrated architect, David Adler, to whom he later gave credit for instilling his great sense of proportion and design. Advised to further his art education, Schweikher enrolled at Yale School of Architecture, eventually winning a traveling fellowship for extended study in Europe. Upon his return to Chicago and private practice, he became a highly-regarded peer of such notable architects as Alfred Granger, Phillip Maher, Howard Shaw, Fred Keck, and Mies ven der Rohe. Accepting offers to become chair of architecture first, at Yale, and later at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, Schweikher led successful administrations at both schools while maintaining private practice in both New Haven and Pittsburgh. He established a reputation as a skilled architect of churches, schools and residences, of which his own in Roselle, IL and Sedona, AZ are prime examples.
