NABORS, Jack D.
Jack D. Nabors, 82, of Phoenix, passed away September 7, 2004. He was born on June 11, 1922 in Pismo Beach, CA. He retired from the Arizona Republic after 38 years of service and was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife of 57 years Mary Ann, Sons; Ken (Shirley), Ron (Jennifer), Dan Nabors, grandchildren; Timothy, Cody, Chase, and Andrew. Mr. Nader moved here 13 months ago from Ohio where he had been a carpenter for the Columbus Public Schools. He was a member of the American Legion. NAGEL, Leslie
Mesa - Leslie Nagel, 56, who had been a marketing representative for the Arizona State Compensation Fund nine years, died Jan. 4, 1982, in Desert Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Nagel, 915 W. Meseto, was born in Indonesia and came to Arizona 25 years ago from the Netherlands. He is survived by his wife, Lucie; children, Vicky Cook, June, Wendy and Bart; and a grandchild, Trevis Cook. NAGEL, Vincent A.
10 FEb 1898 - 22 Oct 1979 Vincent A. Nagel, 81, a University of Notre Dame graduate who had been in sales before moving here in 1959 from Louisville, KY, died Oct. 22, 1979. Mr. Nagel was a World War II veteran. He is survived by a sister and a brother. Rosary in Messinger Chapel. Mass in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Scottsdale. Oct. 25, 1979.

NAGLE, John D.
John D. Nagle died in Scottsdale on September 7, 2004 after a short illness. He was born in Temple, PA, on July 19, 1928, and graduated from Muhlenburg Township High School. In 1946 he entered the United States Navy, serving until 1948 when he became a midshipman in the NROTC program at Penn State University. He was employed by US Steel at the Fairless Works in PA from 1952 to 1956. Subsequently, Jack was a superintendent with a water main construction company in New Jersey until his retirement in 1983. He was active in the Scotch Plains (NJ) First United Methodist Church, the Scotch Plains YMCA and the Kiwanis Club of Scotch Plains. After retirement he and his family moved to Scottsdale, AZ. He was a member of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club for many years and recently joined the Kiwanis Club of Scottsdale Airpark. Jack was considered the unofficial 'Mayor of Chaparral Park' by all his fishermen friends. He is survived by his wife, Noreene, daughter, Mary Carlin Nagle, son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Karen Nagle, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be at the Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale on Monday, September 13th from 3-7pm. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 in the Chapel. NARRAMORE, Donald Laurence
Donald Laurence NARRAMORE passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2006. He was born October 11, 1938 to Edward Laurence and Jennie Belle (WATERHOUSE) NARRAMORE in Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was raised on the family farm in Palo Verde, Arizona. Don was a member of a pioneering family who originally settled and farmed in the Territory of Arizona near Gila Bend in the 1890's. He attended Palo Verde Elementary School, graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1956 and received his Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture from Arizona State University in 1962. After graduating, Don worked briefly for Arizona Public Service and then for State Farm Insurance as a claims adjuster in Los Angeles, California, Hot Springs, Arkansas and Phoenix, Arizona. He returned to the family farm and ranch in 1970. Don raised alfalfa, grain and cotton on the farm and especially enjoyed working with his herd of Simmental cattle. Don was active in the community. He served as a member and was a past president of the Buckeye Irrigation Company Board. He was a member and trustee of the Palo Verde Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Buckeye Elks. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Frances; his daughter, Sheri, and her husband Dan GLADDEN of Palo Verde, his two sons, Charles of Yuma and Kenneth and his wife Michelle of Goodyear. He is also survived by four grandsons, Joshua, Todd, and Clint GLADDEN and Tyler NARRAMORE, a brother Dr. Bruce NARRAMORE of Hacienda Heights, California and a sister Connie HECKATHORNE of El Centro, California. in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Palo Verde Baptist Church, 29600 Old Hwy 80 Palo Verde, P.O. Mesa -- Mrs. Sydney Betty Nass, 89, who moved here seven years ago from Nelson, British Columbia, died Sunday, August 27, 1967, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Nass, 2251 E. NATURMAN, Isaac
Services will be held in New York City for Isaac Naturman, 79, who died Thursday, December 31, 1959, in Phoenix. Mr. Naturman resided at 1310 N. Third St. He was employed as a meat cutter and had lived in Phoenix three years. He was a native of Russia. Grimshaw Mortuary is making arrangements to send the body to New York. Jack Naughton, 54, divisional sales manager for the MJB Coffee Co. here, died Tues., Aug. 15, 1967, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Naughton moved to Phoenix 15 years ago from Long Beach, CA, and had been with the coffee distributors 20 years. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, East Phoenix Lions Club, Elks Lodge and the Los Hespederos Club. He was born in South Dakota. John Naughton with the Marines in Vietnam; two daughters, Susan and Kathleen, both of Phoenix; a sister and a brother out of state; and a grandchild. NAVARRO, Evaristo Ochoa
Evaristo Ochoa Navarro, born March 27, 1916 in Douglas, AZ., lived in Superior with his wife Consuelo of 60 years. Died September 20, 2004 at the Hospice Family Care in Mesa after a long illness. Was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. Worked for Magma Copper Company for 44 years. Well liked by everyone in the community. He will be greatly missed. Survived by his wife Consuelo, four daughters and one son. Connie Schloss, Phoenix, Ophelia Diaz, Mesa, Linda Real, Mesa, Cecilia Gonzales, Gilbert and Victor Navarro, Gilbert, AZ. Survived by two brothers and two sisters, Armando Navarro, Mesa Gilbert Navarro, Superior and Ramona Coronado and Helen Navarro of California. He also was belssed with 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who loved him. Services will be held at St. Frances Catholic Church, Friday September 24th at 10am. Yuma - Funeral services for Daniel R. Neese, 84, who died January 21, 1960, in a Yuma nursing home were conducted in the Johnson Mortuary. Mr. Neese was born near Nashville, Tennessee. He was a retired blacksmith, having worked for many years with the U. S. Indian Service in the Coolidge area. He came to Yuma 15 months ago to make his home with a son, Phillip. Pinetop - Arthur N. Neff, Jr., 64, a retired Marine Corps colonel, died Dec. 3, 1982, at Navapache Hospital in Show Low. He was born in Boston and moved to Arizona nine years ago. He served 32 years in the Marines and was a World War II veteran. He was captain of Navajo County Sheriff's Posse White Mountain Unit. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Arizona Board of Realtors, and charter member of the Experimental Test Pilots Association. Betty (Bidelman) Newton died peacefully Thursday, September 9th in Scottsdale, AZ. Born in Sevastopol, Indiana she lived and worked in New York and Chicago as a fashion buyer for Carson Pierre Scott, hosted BBC radio in London during the war, and painted stunning street scenes when the mood suited her. Betty was an avid golfer, and at age 70, a runway model-a woman with an opinion, the heart of a lion, and your friend forever if you kept the faith too. Nicknamed "Dickie," she was educated at Punkin Center, Florence, Tempe Normal and ASU. Her career as a social studies teacher was at Phoenix's Creighton School. Maude B. Noble, 79, a descendant of one of the original families who settled Mesa, died Aug. 18, 1967, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Noble, 1428 E. Fillmore, a native of Mesa, graduated from Tempe Normal School in 1909 and taught school in Taylor and Mesa before she was married to Joseph Edward Noble in Mesa in 1912. Her musical career included playing for silent movies and pioneer dances in Mesa and teaching piano privately in Phoenix until she became ill a month ago. She had been continuously active in her church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; four sons, Joseph, Jr., of Phoenix, Linwood L. and Kenneth B., both of Mesa and Wendell S. of Glendale, CA; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Rogers of Mesa and Mrs. Elnora Moody of Tempe; two brothers, Roy and George Sirrine; and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Babbitt and Mrs. Ethel Chesley, all of Mesa; 34 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
