MUDGE, William "Harold"
William "Harold" Mudge, 75, died Jan. 24, 1980. Mr. Mudge had owned a heating and plumbing business 40 years in Wisconsin before moving here in 1972 from Milwaukee. He was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Joachim and Oakmont and Sun Dial Men's Clubs. He is survived by his wife, Iva; children, Loann Zentner, Richard and David; stepdaughter, Patricia Lenhart; a sister and 16 grandchildren. Published 1/31/1980.

MUEFFELMANN, Bernhard J.
Bernhard J. Mueffelmann, passed away on September 25, 2004. He was 78. Mr. Mueffelmann was an accountant and controller for many large companies, including Green Giant, Mead Container, Terrell Battery, Cavalier Homes and Marvel, as well as working independently as an accountant. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Mueffelmann is survived by two children, Alice Huff and Victor Huedepohl, a sister in law Vernette Mueffelmann; two nieces Vivian and Sandra; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 2:00 PM at The Phoenix Memorial Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM prior to the Service. MUELEBACH, Ethelyn F.
Ethelyn F. Muehlebach of Scottsdale, Arizona died September 9, 2004. born in Trenton, MO, she married Henry O. Muehlebach and moved to Phoenix in 1926. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Chuck and Lael Treat of Scottsdale, grandchildren: Candyce E. Treat, Glendale, AZ; Sherre A. Treat, San Diego; Charles E. Treat, II, Glendale, AZ; Christopher S. Treat and his wife Kim and daughter Jamie Renay, Scottsdale; and great granddaughter, Lindsay Lael Janos of San Diego. She was a long time accountant for Mountain Bell Telephone. She was active in the Valley of the Sun Horseless Carriage Club with her husband who preceded her in death. Their enthusiasm for antique cars took them on many tours in the U. S. and Europe. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. A private memorial service is planned. The family suggests memorials be made in her name to Hospice of the Valley who took such loving care of her in her final months of life. Arrangements entrusted to A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel. MUELLER, Ada Clausen
3 April 1894 - 10 July 1974. Ada Clausen Mueller, 79, had lived in Arizona after retiring from the motel business in 1967 until going to a nursing home at Twin Falls in May. She died there Wednesday, July 10, 1974. Survivors include a niece and a nephew. Services were in Twin Falls, Idaho. 7/17/1974.

31 May 1926 - 2 Dec 1982 George C. Mueller, Jr., 56, was born in Phoenix and died Thurs., Dec. 2, 1982. Survived by a daughter, Sandra McCann; son, Stephen, both of Phoenix; and five grandchildren. MUENCH, Robert
Robert Muench, 79 of Carefree, passed away suddenly Monday, Sept. 13, 2004. He was born April 5, 1925 in Arvada, Colorado. He served in the United States Army during World War II and upon being honorably discharged attended the Colorado School of Mines and earned a degree in metallurgical engineering. Upon graduation he took a position with the Arabian-American Oil Company and moved his family to Saudi Arabia for the next 30 years. During this time Bob and his family enjoyed travel abroad and he was able to experience some of the worlds best golf courses. An avid golfer, he also loved to read, play bridge, and work cross word puzzles. Bob and Betty chose a beautiful place to retire in the Boulders. He was a member of Kiwanis International and the Boulders Resort Country Club. He was a wonderful provider for his children in that his goal was to provide them with the opportunity to attend college. He is survived by his wife Betty, three daughters, Pam (Gary) Davis of Mesa, Loree (Frank) Oxman of Fairbanks, AK, Teresa (Ned) Russell of New York City, NY, and one son Robert Muench of Scottsdale. Six grandchildren; Trinette Keffer, Chaunacy Armstrong, Benjamin Davis, Sam Oxman, Harris and Spencer Russell; three great grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth Imm of Wausau, WI also survives. His family and loved ones will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be held 5:30 pm Sunday, Sept. 19th at the Boulders Resort, 34631 N. Tom Darlington Drive, Carefree, AZ. Sun City -- Eugene S. Muir, Jr., 70, a retired postal supervisor, died Mon., Sep. 4, 1967, in his home, 12014 Hillcrest. Mr. Muir had been with the post office 33 years in the Los Angeles area and moved here seven years ago from Pacific Palisades, California. He was born in Indianapolis. Services for Michael S. Mulch, 27, a fire technician with Arizona Fire Equipment for seven years, were in Messinger Mortuary Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Road. Mulch died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1982, in a Valley hospital. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland, and was brought to Arizona 12 years ago from Illinois. He had attended Coronado High School. MULKIN, Rev. Vine C.
Services for the Rev. Vine C. Mulkin, retired minister of the Church of the Nazarene who died at his home in Youngtown Friday, Jan. 8, 1960, were at the Peoria Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Virgil Rushing conducted services. Burial in Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale. Mr. Mulkin was 68. He had been a Methodist Episcopal minister for eight years followed by 34 years as a minister for the Church of the Nazarene. He came to Youngtown a year ago from Reed City, Michigan. Winslow - Theresa Mullen, 93, who lived in Winslow for 50 years until she moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1970, died Sept. 27, 1979, in a Denver nursing home. She was born in Ireland and moved to Winslow in 1919. She was a member of Winslow Emblem Club, Catholic Daughters of American and Rosary Altar Society. Mesa -- Thomas J. Mullen, 52, vice president of Mesa Mobile Homes Corp. the past four years, died Sunday, April 30, 1967, in University Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. Mullen, 1253 E. Dover, was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Apache Junction American Legion Post. Born in Brooklyn, N. Y., he moved here in 1962 from Elkhart, Indiana, where he was sales manager for Richardson Homes. Services in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale. Burial in Green Acres Cemetery. Mulligan, Aurora (nee Pressendo), 88 years old, died Aril 2, 1998 after a long illness. Aurora was an active member of the American Legion Post 43, WAC Veterans Chapter 68, Unified Veterans of Arizona, American Legion Auxilary Post 1, the Honor Society of American Legion 20, - 4 Echelon 35, and the Disabled American Veterans. She was the prime mover in establishing "The Women's Veterans Memorial: at the National Cemetery in Phoenix. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Patricia Mulligan. Visitation was held April 3rd at Reis Chapel in San Luis Obispo. On Saturday April 4th, Father Charles Kozanecki O.F.M. Conv. celebrated the Mass of the Resurrection at St. Paul's Church in Pismo Beach, California. Graveside service will be at Greenwood memory Lawn Mortuary and Cemetery Phoenix, Arizona. Mesa - Services for Arthur E. Mullins, Sr., 75, of 2136 E. Bramble Ave., will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Larry J. Melcher Mortuary, 43 S. Stapley Drive. He died Oct. 6, 1979, in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. He came to Mesa eight years ago from Benton Harbor, Michigan, where he had been a public works employee. Dallas "Moon" Mullins died September 27, 2004. He was born May 7, 1921 in Withers, Kentucky and was the son of Loid and Hattie Mullins. Dallas served his country in World War II. He fought valiantly in the Solomon Islands and Philippine Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. He was seriously wounded on Luzon, March 30, 1945. Dallas was awarded several decorations and citations among them two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Elks Club and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He moved his family to Arizona in 1959. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Jean; daughter, Vicki Hopper of Ahwatukee; son, Barney of Tempe; grandchildren, Jeremiah Mullins of Mesa, Robert Hopper of Tempe, and Lindsay, Dalanie, and Nathaniel Mullins of Chandler; two great granddaughters, Madison Ann and Haley Jean Mullins of Tucson. He was preceded in death by great grandson Daniel Robert Hopper. He is also survived by sisters, Eula Wells of Somerset, Kentucky and Iris Rose Helton of Carlisle, Ohio; and brother, Roland Mullins of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; Dallas was a true Southern Gentleman, He loved God, family, country and his fellow man. His family wishes to thank the nurses at Odyssey Hospice in Mesa for their loving and compassionate care. They will always be remembered for the love they showed for Dallas and his family. Hazel Mullins, age 97, of Mesa, formerly of Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away Sept. 1, 2003 in Mesa. Mrs. Mullins has resided in Mesa since 1972 and was a member of Grace Temple Apostolic Church in Phoenix. Her husband, Arthur E. Mullins, Sr., passed away in 1979. Survivors include her sons Arthur Mullins Jr., of Three Oaks, MI and David J. Mullins of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Jeanne Hernandez of Pasadena, CA. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert Reynolds Mundell, 79, of Tempe, Arizona, and former Indianapolis resident, passed away September 12, 2004 in Mesa, AZ. Bob was born August 25, 1925 in Wymore, Nebraska, but was educated in Indianapolis, graduating from Tech High School in 1943 and Butler University in 1947. He served in the U. S. MUNRO, George William
George William Munro, 92, of Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 8, 2004 at the Royal Oaks Care Center. George was born September 25, 1911 in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Cyrille and Irene Munro. A natural athlete, he was a decorated decathlon champion in his youth. In his work life, George celebrated 35 years of service at his 1974 retirement from the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. He sought to serve the Lord throughout his life, dedicating his time and talent to Faith Community Church in Detroit, Michigan, and Faith Presbyterian Church in Sun City, Arizona. George was also a long time volunteer at Royal Oaks Lifecare Center. His was a life well and lovingly lived. George is survived by his wife of 66 years, Agnes Munro; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kim Munro of Huntington Beach, California; daughter, Linda Cailliez of Chanhassen, Minnesota; grandchildren: Jason, Mark, Maregeaux, Eric and Kristy; great grandson, two-month-old Allan Joseph (A. MURPHY, Bert
Payson - Bert Murphy, 85, died Monday, July 1, 1974, in Gila County Hospital at Globe. He was an Arizona pioneer stage driver, road builder and border guard. A native of Show Low, he was raised on the Ft. Apache Indian Reservation where his father supplied the fort with beef, pork, milk, butter and cheese. He was a mounted border guard stationed at Naco during the Mexican Revolution and the raid of Pancho Villa's men on Columbus, AZ, in 1916. He was a stage line driver for the old Brophy Carriage Co. in Bisbee and was also a long time mule skinner on an ore wagon for the Old Warrior Mine in Miami. He had lived in Payson since 1928. Robert J. Murphy, 84, passed away on November 24, 2005. He was the first child of William J. and Viola Murphy, born in Douglas; Arizona on Nov. 18, 1921. He graduated from Phoenix Union High School and Phoenix College. After military service he received his Batchelor of Science degree from Arizona State University. He had a distinguished career as a Captain in the Army Air Corps. He was a B-29 Airplane Commander; when based on Guam he flew numerous bombing missions over Japan. Later he flew in the Berlin Airlift. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Haggstrom; his brother, William Murphy; and by nieces and nephews - his extended family: Ann Cleator (Tom), sons Chet and Christopher; Melinda Murphy; Michael Murphy (Marty), daughters Sharon and Allison and Richard Murphy (Mary), daughter Lauren and son Will. He was ell loved by all and will be missed. His business pursuits were in Real Estate, as a salesman and with State Transportation Dept. He always had a strong interest in books and music and led an active life. His passing, caused by an artery problem was sudden and unexpected. Services will be private, and in accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated and his ashes spread by airplane over the desert. Arrangements were handled by the National Cremation Society. Opal M. Myers, 73, who came here 35 years ago from Illinois and was a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church, died Jan. 22, 1980, in Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Myers, 3701 N. Ninth Place, is survived by her husband, James; sons, John Karl William and Ralph Zeller; stepchildren, Patricia Moore and Donald Myers; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services were in Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 719 N. 27th Ave. Camelback Sunset Chapel handled arrangements. The Arizona Republic Thursday, 24 January 1980.

Mrs. Phyllis R. Myers, 36, of 2512 E. Christy Dr., died Friday, June 21, 1974, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Husband, Richard; parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Stacy; a daughter, Juli Rachelle; sons, brent R., Gregg W., and Todd A. and a sister out of state. Services were in Memory Lawn Mortuary. MYERS, Stella Ruth
Memorial services for Stella Ruth Myers, 77, who had been a Federal Aviation Administration air traffic controller, will be in the Eastern Star Home, 4602 N. 24th St. Miss Myers came to Phoenix 15 years ago from Colorado and died Jan. 1, 1982, in Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Oklahoma and was a 1927 graduate of Northwestern Teachers College at Alva, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Scottsdale and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. Her brother, William H. Myers, survives. A. L. Moore & Sons Mortuary made arrangements. MYRANN, Albert Nelson
Albert "Bert" Nelson Myrann, 71, of Tolstoy, S. D., a winter visitor to Casa Grande and a retired San Diego narcotics agent, died Feb. 1, 1994. He was a native of Tolstoy and was an Army Air Forces veteran. He also was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Laurice; daughters, Sharon Weaver, Gayle Widner and Cristy Miller; sons, Robert Wesley and Albert Frederick; sisters, Lois Howard, Carolyn Carson, Bonnie Strouckel and Eleanor; brothers, Wesley and Jack; and seven grandchildren.
