KOEHLER, William
Sun City - Dr. William W. Koehler, 71, who was a physician in Royal Oak, Michigan, for 30 years, died Nov. 29, 1982, in his home at 16333 N. 103rd Drive. Dr. Koehler was born in Mr. Clemens, Michigan, and moved to Sun City in 1973. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1939 and Northwestern University Medical School in 1939 and served his residency in Detroit hospitals. KOEHN, Lisa Marie
Lisa Marie Koehn, age 25, of Arizona formerly of Geneva passed away Saturday November 26, 2005 at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona from Cystic Fibrosis. She was born September 2, 1980 in Winfield, Ilinois. the daughter of Terry J. Koehn and Dora Sterling. Lisa was a 1998 graduate of Geneva High School and had been a student at Arizona State University for four years. She is survived by her father Terry J. (Nancy) Koehn of Geneva; mother Dora of Arizona; three sisters Ericka, Makayla and Olivia all of Geneva; grandparents Alfred and Marie Koehn of Geneva and also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents William and Clara Rosenfelder and her grandmother Elizabeth Glatz. Memorial service was held at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. KOIVISTO, Henry Waldemar
Henry Waldemar Koivisto, a resident of Duluth, MN and Glendale, AZ, passed away on September 1, 2004. Henry was born on April 18, 1915 in Wright, MN. He spent seven years on the Great Lakes and after 32 years with the University of Minnesota, Duluth, retired in 1981. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Hasl, and in 1989, his second wife Katherine Koivisto and grandson, Scooter Koivisto. Henry is survived by his son Gary Koivisto (Jeannie) of Duluth, MN. Daughter Joyce Hasl (George) of Glendale, AZ. Henry is also survived by 4 grandchildren in Duluth, MN and grandchildren Ronnie Hasl (Brannan) and Stacey Hasl Handley (Jeff) in Arizona. Also surviving Henry are 9 great-grandchildren out of Arizona and his very special Arizona great grandchildren, Paris Hasl and Keeton Hasl, along with their mother Gina Hasl. KONOPA, Pfc. Carl R.
Tempe -- Pfc. Carl R. Konopa, 17, was killed May 13, 1967, while serving with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He had been awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge. He enlisted in the Army in March 1966. After training at Ft. Bliss, TX, he was graduated with high honors from the paratrooper school at Ft. Benning, GA. He was born in Cleveland and came to Arizona in 1963. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Blair Davis; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Kimberly. Interment in East Resthaven Cemetery. 5/20/1967.

KOONTZ, Clifford Eugene
Mayer - Clifford Eugene Koontz, 90, a retired cattleman, died Nov. 17, 1982. He was born in the Williamson Valley and began working as a cowboy at the age of 14. From 1953 to 1960 he managed the K _ 4 Ranch and also was an advisor for seven ranches in Yavapai County. From 1960 to 1975, Mr. Koontz operated a ranch in Arkansas and returned to Mayer in 1975. He was a member of the Aztlan Masonic Lodge No. 1, Order of Eastern Star and the Arizona Cattle Growers Association and was a president of the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association. He is survived by his son, Carl, and a brother. 11/20/1982.

19 Apr 1900 - 21 Mar 1980 Tempe - Stephen E. Kovach, Jr., 79, was born in Budapest, Hungary, and came here in 1975 from Pittsburgh where he retired as a home builder. He died March 21, 1980. Mr. Kovach graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He was a past president of Metropolitan Home Builders of Allegany Count, PA, and was a member of Society of American Military Engineers and American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II. KRAGE, Willis
Willis Krage passed away peacefully from complications of lung cancer on September 18, 2004 at the age of 76. He was born in Santa Ana, California on August 18, 1928. Willis is survived by his loving wife Evelyn, his daughter Michele and her husband Fred, his son Brent and wife Linda, two grandchildren Ryan and Brianna, and two brothers Edward and Gilbert. While these years have been a period of great change, his life is remarkable for his steadfast faith in God and lifetime membership in the Lutheran Church, for the loyalty and care he gave his family in his marriage of 52 years, and for friendships he held throughout his life. Willis had an impeccable work career as a sales driver for 33 years, and he was a member of the California National Guard and served in the Korean War. He fought many battles in his life, including those against physical ailments for the past 18 years. He won many of those battles, especially the last one, as he is now at home in peace with God. The family would like to thank Pastor Daryl Robarge, Cami Brutlag of Hospice of the Valley, and many friends for their aid and comfort during the last days. KUBLER-ROSS, Elisabeth
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, M. D., of Scottsdale, Arizona, graduated this life on August 24, 2004 at the age of 78. She was born on July 8, 1926 to Ernst and Emma (Villager) Kubler, in Zurich, Switzerland. Elisabeth lived her life in the service of dying patients and their grieving families. A psychiatrist and prolific author, she is best known for her landmark 1969 book, "On Death and Dying. " Elisabeth transformed the way Western culture responds to dying patients, improving psychosocial care to children and families experiencing death. She was particularly admired by those involved in both the hospice movement and parental bereavement organizations. Elisabeth is survived by her children, Kenneth Ross of Scottsdale, AZ and Barbara Rothweiler of Wausau, WI; grandchildren Sylvia and Emma; and her sister Eva Bacher of Reihen, Switzerland. She was a hero to countless lives that she touched over the past five decades working in the field. Elisabeth was a tireless advocate who epitomized compassion, kindness, and selfless humanity. She will be missed by tens of thousands of friends, colleagues, and supporters who love her. Her legacy will, indeed, live for generations to come. KUGLER, Katherine E.
Miami - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow in Miles Funeral Home for Mrs. Katherine E. Kugler, who died Wednesday, December 30, 1959, in Gila General Hospital at Globe. Burial will be in Thatcher. During World War II and for several years later, Mrs. Kugler was a school nurse for the Indian children in the Miami school district. She took nurse's training in Kansas City, Missouri, before coming to Miami 42 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Joseph F. Kugler, whom she married in 1917 in Albuquerque, N.M. KUSTER, Walter B.
Walter B. Kuster, age 85, of Peoria AZ, formerly of Blossburg PA, died at his residence Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Born May 16, 1919 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of John A. and Lillian Kuster. Walt was married for 33 years to Delores (Pat) Kuster who preceded him in death on April 17, 2002. Walter is survived by two sisters, Catherine Kuster and Betty Kuster, both of Blossburg, PA, two sisters-in-law, Arlene Kuster of Blossburg, PA, and Agnes Kuster of Sharon, PA, as well as four nieces and nephews and one very faithful and loving Bichon Frise - Chablis. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John G. and Frederick A. Kuster. Walt was a veteran of World War II serving as a Sergeant in the Army. Walter attended Maryland University of Blossburg where he was a star baseball player. He was a superintendent at Ward Foundries and a member of Blossburg Lodge 350 F. &A. M. Walt and Pat retired to Scottsdale, AZ and later moved to Sun Lakes, AZ where they were very active in the community. Walter exemplified a life of service, helping feed and cloth those in need. He was a very active donor to the American Red Cross, a strong supporter of the Salvation Army and Indian reservation missionaries. Always a sports fan, he shared that love of sports with his nephews and for 25 years he never missed the festivities at the Fiesta Bowl. A memorial service will be held in Walter's honor on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at 10 am at Green Acres Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. John C. Kyllo, 77, retired physician and surgeon who moved here 13 years ago from Superior, Wisconsin, died May 15, 1967, in St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Kyllo had served in the Army Medical Corps in World War I. After he graduated from the University of Louisville, he did graduate work at Tulane University. He was a member of a Masonic lodge in Superior. He was a native of Red Wing, Minnesota. Survivors include his wife, Julia; a daughter, Mrs. William R. Fickas of Phoenix; a son, Donald E. of Ames, Iowa; a sister out of state; and five grandchildren. Burial in Sunland Cemetery, Sun City. 5/16/1967.
