KIDD, Joseph R. and Ruth H. and Terrence A.
Mesa - Joseph R. Kidd, 50, his wife, Ruth H. Kidd, 49, and their son, Terrence A. Kidd, 16, were killed Sunday, June 30, 1974, in an 18-vehicle accident near El Reno, Oklahoma. Mr. Kidd was a branch manager of Household Finance, a scoutmaster of Troop 451, and a Navy veteran of World War II. His survivors include children, Richard, Raymond, Kenneth and Christine Kidd; his parents, Peter and Edith Kidd; brothers, Harold, Donald and Thomas. Mrs. Kidd had been a policy processor the past two years for State Farm Insurance Co. in Tempe. Survivors in addition to her children include her mother, Mrs. Bertha Kattenhorn; and a sister. Terence was born in Phoenix and was a student at Mesa High School. Services were in Grace United Methodist Church. Burial in Mesa Cemetery. Larry J. Melcher Mortuary. 7/4/1974.

KIMBALL, Eleanore
Scottsdale - Eleanore Kimball, 78, who came here in 1962 from Lincoln, Nebraska, and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and the Junior League, died Oct. 4, 1980, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kimball, 4800 N. 66th St., is survived by children, Mrs. William Cartmell and William T.; a brother and five grandchildren. Services will be in Lincoln, Messinger Mortuary announced. KIMBALL, Hanna C.
Hanna C. Kimball, 69, an Eagar native who moved to Phoenix in 1919, died May 5, 1967, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kimball was believed to have been the first woman fire guard in the country when she served in the Apache National Forest during World War I. A book was written about her and her brother, George Crosby, "In The Great Apache Forest." Her mother, the late Molly Butler, opened Butler Lodge in Greer in 1910. Mrs. Kimball was co-owner of the Capitol Drug Store. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, Rulon; three daughters, Mrs. A. A. Gardner of Kearny; Mrs, Dean Moore of Huntington Beach, CA, Mrs. Howard Olson of Otis AFB, MS; two brothers, George Crosby of Greer and Vincent T. Butler of Eagar; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services were in Eagar Cemetery. May 6, 1967.

KIMBALL, John R.

Mesa - Ruth H. Kimball, 83, former secretary of MonDak Mobile Home Park Assoc. in Mesa for 18 years, died Oct. 27, 1982, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Kimball was born in Bunker Hill, Illinois, and moved to Mesa from Beach, N.D., in 1961. She was a member of the Velda Rose United Methodist Church. Services were at the church. Safford - Marian C. Kimber, 80, a retired Navy surgical nurse, died Dec. 24, 1982. She was born in Big Prairie, Ohio, and moved to Safford in 1966. She was a graduate of Mansfield General Hospital Nursing School in Ohio. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Daughter of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. KIMBLE, G. Clinton
G. Clinton Kimble, 70, a retired welder and boilermaker for Western Pipe & Steel Co., died Tues., May 9, 1967, in Phoenix Baptist Hospital. Mr. Kimble, 1751 E. Aurelius, a native of Eugene, OR, moved to Phoenix in 1910 from Los Angeles. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Doris Standiford of Phoenix; Mrs. Lelia Hansen of Santa Barbara, CA, Mrs. Vida Hansen of Crestline, CA; and a brother, Kim Lowenstein, of Phoenix. Funeral services for George Jefferson Kimbrough, 74, who died Monday (18 Jan 1960) in his home, 4625 S. Third St., will be tomorrow in Bloom's South Phoenix Mortuary, 3800 S. Central. Scottsdale - Kenneth F. Kimes, 61, who was the sales promotion manager for Armour-Dial Co., a firm he had been with 19 years, died Dec. 31, 1981, in Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. Mr. Kimes, 6419 E. Gary, moved here nine years ago from Chicago. He received a master's degree in music from Northwestern University in his native Illinois. He was an author of music books and taught piano. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marjory; children, Karyl Lynn, of Scottsdale and William of California; mother, Irene Kimes, Green Lake, Wisconsin; and a brother, Carl W., of Green Lakes, Wisconsin and Sedona, Arizona. Madonna J. King, of Glendale, Arizona, phenomenal wife and best friend passed away August 29, 2004 at the too young age of 57. She possessed a sparkling, beautiful, vivacious, thoughtful, considerate, and giving personality that touched many friends, family, and strangers throughout her life. Born Pauline Cecilia O'Meara on March 2, 1947 in Iowa City, Iowa, she was soon adopted by Dennis and Eleanor (Casey) Hogan and renamed Madonna Joan. The family moved to Phoenix in 1957. She attended Camelback H. S. and graduated in 1965. She worked at Motorola for 14 years before pursuing opportunities at Sperry Flight Systems/Honeywell where she worked for 23 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim King of Glendale, sisters-in-law Diane Uehlinger of Houston, TX and Donna Kunkle of Phoenix; step brother Ron Garrison of Phoenix; and uncle/aunt Eddie/Chic Casey of Alamo, TX. Services will be held 10am, Sat., September 4, at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran church, 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, with reception to follow. KINNE, Bernard Russell
Bernard Russell Kinne, 61, of Peoria, died Nov. 19, 1982. He had been a vehicle inspector for the federal government in Nevada for 21 years, was a native of Candice, New York, and moved to Peoria four months ago from Phoenix. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 21st Ward, the VFW and served in the Army during World War II. KITCHEN, Rick
Rick Kitchen of Glendale, Arizona, was resting peacefully and surrounded by family when he went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 27, 2004. With courage and determination, he fought a battle against melanoma for the past 10 months. Rick was born in Oklahoma City on Jan. 30, 1950. He moved to Minnesota when he was 14, graduated from Edina High School in '68 and from Iowa's Drake University in '72. He was an account executive for CBS/Advantage Sales & Marketing for 27 years. He loved the industry and the local food industry loved him back. Throughout his bout with cancer, his peers have rallied with unwavering support for Rick and his family. He and Stephanie would have celebrated their 28th anniversary on October 30. He is also survived by daughters Tiffanie (Annie) and Kathryn (Katie); mother Anne Kitchen of Edina; sister Karen Ellis (Bob) of Puyallup, WA; five nieces, two nephews, brother- and sisters-in-law. Edwin "Ed" Reuschlein Klein, M. D., 48, died at home encircled by family and friends this Labor Day, September 6, 2004. "He died as he lived - calmly and caring for others. " He is survived by his loving family; wife, Janet; stepson, Harry "Max" Hazell; parents, Philip and Serena Klein; 6 brothers, Gus, Kevin, Fritz, Mitchell, Chris, and Fred Klein; 3 sisters: Nichola Thompson, Regina Herzog and Bridget Klein; 17 nieces and nephews. His extended family includes Affiliated Hospitalists and John C. Lincoln/North Mountain. A native of Louisville, Kentucky's Highland Park, he graduated from St. Xavier High School (1974), University of Louisville Speed Scientific School (1979), and University of Louisville Medical School (1993), An artist at heart, he played Spanish guitar, sculpted and designed mosaics. After 10 years as a mechanical engineer, he combined science and art to study medicine. Notorious for assigning humorous monikers to the staff at John C. Lincoln Hospital, he was more famous for his compassion for friends and patients. A memorial service will be held at the Cowden Center at John C. Lincoln-North Mountain (across from the hospital), Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 4:00 PM. A second service is planned for Louisville, Kentucky. KLINE, Anna A.
Anna A. Kline, 100, shared the home and kindergarten quarters of her granddaughter, Mrs. Evelyn Nichols. Mrs. Kline, born Anna McAlevy, March 2, 1862, in McAlevy's Fort, PA., was the daughter of a pioneer farm family. She married the late Byron C. Kline in 1887 in Tama County, Iowa. They lived in Iowa and western Nebraska, then moved to South Dakota. He was a deputy U. S. marshall near the Rosebud Indian Reservation in what is now Gregory County, S. D. From there they went to Boise Valley, Idaho, eventually retiring in Long Beach, Calif. where Mr. Kline died in 1957. Survivors are two sons, Harold, of Westminster, Calif., and Samuel of Escondido, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Nancy E. KNIGHT, Margaret
Tucson - Margaret Knight, 87, a civic and cultural leader in Tucson 40 years, died Sat., Jan. 3, 1970. She was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Arizona in 1966 and named Woman of the Year by the Tucson Advertising Club in 1953. Many Tucsonans knew her by sight as she drove around the city in a 1935 Packard automobile. She drove it more than 300,000 miles until three months ago. She was the daughter of an Ohio State University professor and graduated from Vassar College. She headed a hospital unit in France in World War I and was in charge of Red Cross food kitchens in the Ohio Valley flood of 1913. She and her mother moved to Tucson in 1930 following the death of her father. Her mother died in 1945. Memorial services at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church. After cremation her ashes will be interred at St. Philip's in the Hills. 1/5/1970.
