Mildred E. Guehring, 89, died September 19, 2004 in Tempe AZ,
following a valiant fight against cancer. She was born March 30, 1915, in

she subsequently moved to Tempe AZ in 2001. In addition to her husband, she was
also predeceased by her brother Raymond Maaske, sister-in-law Thelma Maaske, and
one nephew. Survivors include 2 daughters: Kay Dunlap of Tempe, and Ann (Robert
L) Komlosi of Lorain OH; 4 grandchildren: James (Sherri) Dunlap of Chandler AZ,
Mary (Pete Koenig) Dunlap of Yorba Linda CA, Candy (JP) Perez of Lorain, Robert
E (Rochelle) Komlosi of Lorain; and 2 great-grandsons in Lorain. She is also
survived by 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and several cousins in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Visitation will be at Tempe Mortuary, 405 E Southern Ave, Tempe, from 5 to 7 p.
m. on Friday, September 24, with a service to follow at 7 p. m. Final services
will be in Dakota IL, and burial in Davis IL. In lieu of flowers, the family

killed and three were injured Wednesday when a large section of concrete pipe
fell on them at the MX missile test site west of Dateland. Killed was Bernardo
Guerra, 56, of 1407 N. 38th, Lane, Phoenix. Injured were Felipe Chavez, 47, of
1430 W. Wood, Phoenix, who was admitted to the Yuma Regional Medical Center in
serious condition; Michael Bolton, 33, of 12015 N. 16th St., Phoenix, who was
transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix in stable condition; and Jesus
Valenzuela, 49, of Elgin, who was treated at Yuma Regional for apparently minor

Macario
Rosary for Macario Guzman, 71, a retired farmer, will be today in St.
Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 5410 S. Central. Mass will be Saturday in
the church. Mr. Guzman, 4617 S. Eighth Place, died Dec. 19, 1981, in St.
Joseph's Hospital. He came to Phoenix in 1954. Surviving are his wife, Belen;
children, Calistlo, Ignacia, Macario, Paula, James and Billy; 37 grandchildren;
34 great-grandchildren; a sister and a brother. Botimer Mortuary made

Leona B.
Peoria - Leona B. Guzzo, 67, died Oct. 29, 1982, at Boswell Memorial
Hospital. Mrs. Guzzo was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and moved to Peoria in
1977 from West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Ralph J.; daughter,
Joan Thahilo; three sisters, a brother and three grandchildren. Menke Funeral

Augustus L. "Bud" Gwinn, 72, were in Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden,
Scottsdale. Mr. Gwinn moved here in 1960 from Missouri and died Oct. 30, 1979.
He did silversmithing as a hobby. He is survived by his wife, Fern; children,
Judith Ann Poor, Terrance R. Paul and Ralph Grant; a sister and 12
