TEASLEY, Jacob Samuel
Jacob
"Jake" Samuel Teasley left to wait on Jesus' return on the afternoon of
September 3, 2004. Born in Mesa Arizona on October 12, 1984 Jake has spent his
19 years living in Chandler Arizona. Jake is the first born son of Michael and
Sarah Teasley, and the big brother of Jason. Jacob was a loving and loyal son,
brother, grandson, cousin, and friend who lived his life with zeal and passion.
Deep Friendships decorated Jacob's life, literally and figuratively. A lovely
young lady visiting Jacob in the hospital put it well " I only met Jake a few
times, but he was the most genuine person I've ever met" We are all truly
blessed to have known him. Jacob was active in sports, church and school
activities. He was the outstanding defensive lineman on the 2000 Corona Del Sol
Freshman team. He liked football because he enjoyed the physical nature of
extreme contact. This served him well as with his tremendous heart and brute
strength he won the first annual Big 15 Wrestling Tournament as a junior at CDS.
Jake's true passion was the Arts. His love for music, drawing, and theatre are
chronicled in the many drawings and movies that Jake has left for us to
treasure. If you get a chance while at the Bank One Ballpark, go to the
concourse stairwell in section 300 and check out the mural of Roberto Clemente's
3000th hit that Jacob drew and painted as a 6th grader at Pueblo Middle School.
He was a gifted and special talent playing both the guitar and clarinet. Jacob
graduated from Corona Del Sol High School in 2003, and has been attending Mesa
Community College in preparation for pursing a degree in Motion
Picture/Television Production. His professional goal was to film documentaries.
Jacob accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at a
Christian Youth Camp in Sedona Arizona during the Memorial Day weekend of 2001.
As Jacob now waits on the return of his lord, we want to thank him for letting
us be a part of such a great but too short journey. We will miss him terribly,
but know he is in good hands. Please join us in a celebration of his life by
walking in the "Walk to Cure Diabetes" on October 30, 2004 at Tempe Town Lakes.
You can honor Jacob with donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. His
family praises the many doctors, nurses, and care givers who attended to him
during his final days and expresses heartfelt appreciation to all the wonderful
friends and family that poured out their hearts and prayers for Jacob. Services
